Easter weekend.
And getting ready for a show.
Baltimore, Maryland
April 7th, 2026
Dear Reader,
Easter day turned out to be humid and heavy in the early part of the morning, but stormy and wet by mid morning. Nonetheless the children went egg hunting, and once the rain had subsided, my brother and I took them on a walk around the farm. They wore their rubber boots and jumped in puddles.
A stroll around the farm.
My mother made the meal - a roast leg of lamb, potatoes sliced thin and placed under the lamb so the juices could drip down onto them, steamed peas, and asparagus with homemade hollandaise sauce.
I prepared a watercress salad with mushrooms, and my sister in law had made a carrot cake from scratch with the children as her helpers.

Monday morning we ended the weekend at the farm with a big country breakfast. My mom made pancakes and scrambled eggs, and my nephew cooked the bacon. We had hot coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice.
Tonight I have a show in Baltimore so I’ll sign off to get ready. Livestream passes are available for those of you not in Baltimore! Click here to purchase yours.
More to come.
Abrazos,
Mariah
